Jericho Field Trip

Image
Oldest and lowest city in the world!  In honor of it being the lowest city we sang "Under the Sea" on our bus ride down to Jericho Zacchaeus Tree (Luke 19) Elisha's Spring: it gushes out 1000 gallons of water per minute!!! 2 Kings 2 Judean Wilderness: This is where the parable of the Good Samaritan takes place.  Imagine what it would have been like to travel from Jerusalem down to Jericho and helping a stripped man along the way.  Pretty incredible example of charity! (Luke 10) Jerusalem in the distance In-between Jerusalem and Jericho Jericho in the distance It's about a 20-25 mile walk along the path that leads from Jerusalem to Jericho through the Judaea Desert
